The end of history will be a very sad time. The struggle for recognition, the willingness to risk one\u2019s life for a purely abstract goal, the worldwide ideological struggle that called forth daring, courage, imagination, and idealism, will be replaced by economic calculation, the endless solving of technological problems, environmental concerns, and the satisfaction of sophisticated consumer demands. We celebrate innovation, yet fear the jobs it replaces. We expand knowledge, yet neglect wisdom. We watch more, scroll more, buy more\u2014but feel less.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And still, we ask:\u00a0Why does something feel missing?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Decades ago,\u00a0Al Gore\u00a0described a world of artificial comforts\u2014sealed windows, constant noise, synthetic environments, and endless distraction. A world designed to simulate life rather than deepen it.
